5 Spanish Club Provides opportunities for members to speak Spanish and to increase their knowledge and awareness of the Spanish- speaking world. Activities: Justo concert, volunteered at nursing homes, go to Casa Maya during school and order in Spanish!

6 OUT OF THE DARK LEARN MORE ABOUT DRUG AWARENESS LEARN AND FIND WAYS TO PREVENT DRUGS, ALCOHOL, ETC. HELP PREVENT DRUGS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL HELP SPREAD ALTERNATIVES TO DRUGS Sponsor- Mrs. Simino

7 ~FCS~ BRING STUDENTS TOGETHER AND ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER. MEET FRIENDS BE A GOOD INFLUENCE ACTIVITIES: SEE YOU AT THE POLE, DECORATING LOCKERS WITH BIBLE VERSES, PUT BOXES TOGETHER FOR OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Sponsor- Mr. Crader

8 FBLA – Future Business leaders of America Purpose: To show students an intro to the private business sector, and to some jobs that are available through a business career. One member placed in top three at state Two students competed in national conferences Sponsor- Mr. Rushing

9 Rotary The purpose is to help the community and strengthen leadership skills Each year there is a camp called RYLA that emphasizes on leadership, teamwork, and helping others Activities: collect recycling from teachers rooms, host a blood drive, volunteer for miracle rodeo This is a great club to get in to for community service hours Sponsors – Mrs. Chadwick and Mrs. Rapert

10 Thespian Troupe: Organization completely dedicated to theatre Before you can join thespian troupe you have to be a member of drama club and have a certain number or participation points State thespian festival: solo acting, duet acting, group acting, solo and group music, mime, stage management, costume design In the summer you can go to international thespian festival in Lincoln Nebraska

11 Model UN Study everything about a specific country (their economy, politics, religion, wars they are in, etc) Test your knowledge and compete against different schools Basically if you are into politics, you should join this club. Sponsor- Mrs. Shoemaker

12 Science Club Learn more about science than what you learn or have learned in class Volunteer for a Halloween show for the elementary doing experiments Gives you an opportunity to serve your community Sponsor- Mrs. Hall

13 Junior Civitan Reach out in our community and school Throughout the year you will have the opportunity to volunteer for many different activities. For example: Special Olympics, assisting elementary with Christmas baskets, Service learning, etc. Sponsor- Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Green

14 National Honor Society This club is by invitation only You have to have at least a 3.5 GPA 10 service hours with in a year You can get a form from Ms. Thielemier Due by August 28 th Throughout the year you will get opportunities to volunteer This club looks great on your résumé Mrs. Thielemier
