1 Enns Entomology Museum University of Missouri - Columbia C. V. Riley served as lecturer in entomology from 1868 to 1875. In 1941, Dr. G. W. Bock donated 300,000 specimens, mostly beetles. Dr. E. P. Meiners later donated 35,000 insects. Dr. Wilbur Enns was appointed Director in 1953 and served for 25 years. Dr. Thomas R. Yonke became museum director in 1978. In 1980, Museum was named the Wilbur R. Enns Entomology Museum. Dr. Robert W. Sites assumed directorship of the museum in 1991.

2 Other Significant Acquisitions A. H. Hollinger : Scale insects, voucher specimens from his 1917 doctoral dissertation. R. R. Rowley: 6000 underwing moths (Catocala spp.). Paul Berry: 8,500 misc. specimens, mostly from El Salvador. Dr. A. Michael Dykstra: 3,200 specimens of Lepidoptera. Missouri Department of Conservation: ca. 4.5 million specimens collected over a 30 year period from Missouri waterways.
