Tutorial provision and role Who are we? – Multi-disciplinary professionals – 13 Tutors + 4 Tutor Team Leaders – Managed by Student Services Manager Where are we? – 1D17 – Vocational areas What do we do? – Provide pastoral and academic support – Encourage retention and progression How do we work? – Vocational or A level/IB focus – Caseload of approximately 200 students per tutor – Facilitating 10 – 13 tutorials per week – Scheduled / drop-in 1:1 appointments

Portal Communication tool between students, staff and parents On line record of student’s progression, attendance, punctuality and targets Progress reports will be available half termly via Parent Portal Monitored regularly by Personal Tutors

What do students need to do to be successful? Attend – students will not be allowed into classes if they are late without a late slip Plan carefully – setting and monitoring targets via Portal Seek support – teachers, tutors, Learning Support and learning resources (attend workshops, use library, access IT)

Progression within College Vocational levels AS to A2 IB year 1 to year 2 – progression not automatic – good attendance, progress, attitude – successful completion of assessments For AS students: classes continue after exams College year continues till 26 June 2015 Please do not book holidays in term time
