It is at the forefront of innovation in the banking sector in Europe, Technology has been a key success factor for Bankinter since it was founded. Bankinter leads the case study on e-Banking. Essex County Council is a large local authority, covering 1,300 square miles in South East England. Together with 12 District Councils and other agencies it delivers services to 1.3 million citizens. Essex leads the case study on e-Government.

It supports integration and tool developing efforts of the core partners.

March 2005EC Presentation10 DIP – Case studies The Project will implement three real-world applications demonstrating the use of Semantic Web Services in three sectors: B2B in Telecoms –Demonstrates the added value of Semantic Web Services in B2B applications required and used in the Telecom Industry E-Government –The delivery of more comprehensive and user-friendly services to citizens by multiple agencies at three different levels (Government, National, County) e-Banking –Provide clients with integrated banking services e.g. account querying, financial transactions, as well as other value added services e.g. house mortgages, share trading and mobile phone banking.
