A chord is two or more notes played at the same time. For the Blues, we are going to be using a triad, which is three notes of the chord. C- C, E, G F- F, A, C G- G, B, D

Here is a table of the 12 bar blues and what order they should be played in. You are using chords I, IV, and V. Example C,D,E,F,G,A,B 1. C 2, 3, 4 2. C 2, 3, 4 3. C 2, 3, 4 4. C 2, 3, 4 5. F 2, 3, 4 6. F 2, 3, 4 7. C 2, 3, 4 8. C 2, 3, 4 9. G 2, 3, 4 10. F 2, 3, 4 11. C 2, 3, 4 12. G 2, 3, 4

Using piano, glockenspiel, xylophone, etc, practice the Blues set of 12 chords. Try working with a partner so that you can help each other and learn different ways to play the chords. See what rhythms you might be able to come up with to make it sound more interesting.
