English Literature How the course is structured: Controlled Assessment (25%): Compare a theme from a Shakespeare play to a selection of poems There will be two exams: 1.Modern Texts: TWO essay questions on ‘Of Mice and Men’ and ‘An Inspector Calls’(40%) 2.Poetry across time: (Comparative essay on two poems they will have studied from a cluster and an essay on an unseen poem (35%)

What can students do to prepare? Use websites such as BBC Bitesize and Sparknotes. Complete past papers on the AQA website Attend revision classes! Work extremely hard in every English Lesson!
