10 Early in Career update – for information Background  The UK currently has 1.09 million unemployed, young people.  All employers are under increasing pressure to provide work experience and job opportunities to help get young people into work.  YTD Santander has hired 1533, 16-24 year olds, as part of our BAU resourcing activity but we want to do more..  Increase the potential & capability of young joiners by transferring a proportion onto EiC programs Santander is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and the youth employment agenda
