2.  During the Vietnam War many people died from all countries including America, South Vietnam, and North Vietnam.

3.  In 1968 Johnson made a speech on televised TV expressing his urge to stop the bombing in North Vietnam. The Ambassador for America was currently located in Paris trying to talk out a plan.

4.  The couple is carrying their babies away from the napalm bombing.  Every day no matter what bombing or what spree there was that day, more and more citizens and soldiers were being killed.

7.  These three soldiers are resting outside their bunker in 1968, this was the same year the American casualties rose to 14,589 soldiers killed and 46,797 wounded.

9.  The Viet Cong army was accounted for 251,000 deaths during the Vietnam war. This made the Viet Cong forces responsible for 22% of the total deaths.

10.  R.J. Rummel's mid-level estimated that 65,000 North Vietnamese Civilians died from 1960-1975 from bombing. The Vietnamese government in 1995 estimated that 4,000,000 Vietnamese civilians on both sides died in the war. (2.2)  Paraphrase: It was estimated that 65,000 North Vietnamese Civilians died during 1960- 1975 due to bombings. Between North and South Vietnam about 4,000,000 civilians died during the war.

11.  The Army of the Republic of Vietnam ARVN lost about 266,000 killed from 1959 through 1975. (1)  Paraphrase: During 1959 to 1975 the Vietnam ARVN lost 266,000 soldiers.

12.  The continued deployment of U.S. troops throughout 1966 increased the number of soldiers in Vietnam to nearly 300,000. American casualties also increased that year to 5,008 dead and 16,526 wounded.(256)  Paraphrase: Through out 1966 the continued deployment of troops raised the number of soldiers in Vietnam to 300,000. American tolls also rose to 5,008 dead and 16,526 wounded.

13.  Here, two soldiers await a helicopter to evacuate the body of their fallen comrade in the Long Khanh Province of Vietnam. (5)  Paraphrase: After the shooting of their friend they wait for a helicopter to take his body for medical help.
