22. The singer is Kamahl, an Australian based singer, born of Tamil Hindu parents in Malaysia in 1934. He migrated to Adelaide to complete secondary schooling in 1954. He commenced his singing career in 1958. In 1994 he was awarded the OAM (Member of the Order of Australia) and Australia’s Centenary Medal in 2001. The Elephant Song is probably his best known song, it was used in a World Wildlife Fund documentary.
