5 Academic Paragraphs Indented Topic Sentence with Controlling Idea Supporting Sentences that support the controlling idea. A conclusion sentence that brings an ending to the paragraph and shows NO MORE supporting ideas will be given.

6 Other Important Elements Capitalization The first letter in the first word of EVERY sentence is capitalized Punctuation Each sentence ends with the correct form of punctuation (period, exclamation point, etc.) Correct grammar (subject verb agreement, word forms, clause structure etc.)
