2 Koons life Jeff Koons was born in York, Pennsylvania in He studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Koons lives and works in New York City. Koons is an American artist known for his reproductions of banal objects such as balloon animals produced in stainless steel with mirror finish surfaces.  Studies art and design at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. In he spends an exchange year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The following year he leaves Chicago for New York.

3 Koons Work Koons’s work is in numerous public collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, Los Angeles County Museum, The Broad Art Foundation, The National Gallery, Hirshhorn Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Tate Gallery, Museum Ludwig, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo. Koons earned renown for his public sculptures, such as the monumental floral sculpture Puppy (1992), shown at Rockefeller Center and permanently installed at the Guggenheim Bilbao. Another floral sculpture, Split-Rocker (2000), was installed at the Papal Palace in Avignon and at the Palace of Versailles.

4 Pre-New 1979 Begins to work with household appliances, which he affixes to fluorescent lamps for a series later titled Pre-New. Executes first work with a vacuum cleaner. Koons is employed as a broker on Wall Street in order to finance the production of his art.

8 The New 1980 Koons installs his first show in the display window of the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, out of which he will develop the series The New.

25 Banality 1988 Koons's new series, Banality, is simultaneously shown in three distinguished galleries in Cologne, New York and Chicago. The porcelain and wood figures mystify the critics.

1992 Koons creates the monumental floral sculpture Puppy in front of the castle in Bad Arolson near Kassel. Large museum retrospectives are held in Amsterdam, Stuttgart, San Francisco, and Minneapolis.

35 Celebration 1993 Inspired by his little son, Ludwig Maximilian, Koons develops the extensive seriesCelebration, comprising colored chrome steel and polyethelene sculptures and paintings. Koons separates from Ilona Staller, and a protracted struggle for custody of their son begins.

61 Extra Jeff Koons was the artist named to design the seventeenth in the series of BMW "Art Cars". His artwork was applied to a race-spec E92 BMW M3, and revealed to the public at The Pompidou Centre in Paris on 2 June Backed by BMW Motorsport, the car then competed at the Hours of Le Mans in France. 2013 He collaborated with American recording artist Lady Gaga for her third studio album, ARTPOP. The album cover depicts a nude sculpture of Gaga made by Jeff Koons in front of a blue ball sculpture, and pieces of other art works in the background such as "Birth of Venus" painted by Sandro Botticelli.
