6. The Rules for the Driver
The driver must:
check that all wear their seatbelt
have valid ROP Driving License (for vehicle type)
have a valid PDO Driving Permit (blacktop/graded)
be 21 years or older
NO alcohol, drugs or medicine
NEVER use a GSM (NOT even hands-off GSM)
be rested: max driving hours
LV: 2hrs/15min rest Max in 12 hr shift: 10 hrs driving
HGV: 4hrs/1hr rest Max in 12 hr shift: 10 hrs driving
be certified medically fit every 2 yrs
