2important thing to consider is that TV screens crop When presenting graphics on TV, the mostimportant thing to consider is that TV screens cropthe edges of a frame.Text and graphs should remain within theinner “title safe” square.Photographs and small ID logos shouldremain within the outer “action safe” square.A dark background with light foreground text isbest for TV, but light backgrounds with dark textare acceptable.
3Text should be in a sans serif typeface at least 24 pts. Arial is the preferred font.(Times New Roman will not work well on TV.)Make text bold with a black drop shadow.Charts and Lines should be at least 2¼ pts thick.(Thin lines will jitter on TV.)Avoid the use of bright red; a dull brick red willlook better on TV. Dark backgrounds withlight text are preferred. To highlight titles orwords, use a bold font or color.
