1 RFP PROJECT IDEAS PROPOSAL Company Branding – Scott P. Evans Architect & Associates Joshua Evans

2 OVERVIEW.  Before we begin, I would like for you to think about some of your most favorite companies.  What is it that makes them so special? All companies, no matter the size are judged on not only what they do, but also how they do it. In addition, companies aren’t generally seen as a group of individuals working together (e.g., CEO, Managers, Sales Reps, etc.). Rather, we view a company as a whole, as one single individual. Would you rather have your company be seen as an alright individual, or a great one?

3 PROBLEM STATEMENT. A local architecture firm, Scott P. Evans Architect & Associates, has been in business for over 20 years, doing design work for the government. My idea is that we can expand their business by re-branding the company to work for a much broader client base. We will begin with some questions:  As it stands, how do you feel your community views you?  What do you feel that you can improve on?  Do you hold/sponsor enough events within your community?  Do you have any sort of online presence?

4 RATIONALE.  By finding the answers to these questions, we as a class can: Communicate with a small business as well as our community in order to help it grow. Discover what types of communication works best in creating a brand within our prospective fields. Learn some essential marketing strategies throughout the project.

5 RATIONALE.  As a company, Scott P. Evans Architect & Ass. will gain the community’s trust, and in turn, their business.

6 MATERIALS & METHODS.  Our research will be done through a good blend of: Magazine articles. Internet research. Surveys of other companies successful in branding.

7 PERSONNEL.  I feel that as a team, we can devote each person to a specific task, such as online research. Others could contact successfully branded businesses seeking tips and pointers that could help Scott P. Evans Architect.

8 TIME FRAME. Simply put, time is of the essence. We don’t have much longer in this class, and in turn must work fast and efficiently in order to finish this project on time. We can create a weekly schedule once we are put into teams.

9 HURDLES.  Time.  Credible resources.  Cooperation from other companies.
