Salvador Dali After passing through phases of cubism, futurism, and metaphysical painting. He joined the surrealists in 1920. Soon he became the most famous surrealist of the time.

More about Dali… He is most famed around the world for his surreal & symbolic abstract oil paintings as much for his outlandish behavior. Dali loved attention & was quite a showman. He wore a long curled up mustache. He was notorious for not knowing how to count money. He loved to shock the public and traveled with his pet ocelots.

More Dali Facts Had his first drawing lesson at the age of 10 & his 1 st Art Show at age 21. He became internationally famous for his surrealist art~paintings filled with strange scenes and objects from his imagination or dreams.
