5. Priorities to 2015 and beyond There are still many data challenges to meet for 2015 and beyond One of the main issues is to move from planning to implementation, lack of resources is a problem, but other concerns also need to be addressed Not all strategies are realistic, cover the main parts of the statistical system, are properly budgeted or are integrated into national planning processes We need an agreed approach to help countries emerging from conflict and in difficult circumstances The countries with the least capacity need the most help 6/3/20105Consultative Group, Paris

6. What has the TF invested in? TFSCB has invested more than $34 million in 171 projects Priority has been given to low income (IDA eligible) countries Important funder of regional and global projects TFSCB has been an effective catalyst for further funding 6/3/20106Consultative Group, Paris

Some key achievements Five out of the first six STATCAP countries got support from TFSCB to prepare an NSDS or equivalent All of the five SRF pilot countries had TFSCB grants first Regional projects in Central and South America and more recently in the South Pacific have proved effective in helping countries prepare NSDSs Most projects have achieved their objectives and have had an impact TFSCB has also been able to provide support to countries emerging from conflict The Trust Fund has been able to help countries meet immediate data needs 6/3/20108Consultative Group, Paris
