 We are going to learn about giving all of our troubles to God.  Psalms 55:2 – Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you.  It is important for us to know this!

Finally made it out of Egypt after being slaves for 430 years!!!!!

 When the Israelites made it across the Red Sea they sang praises to God for delivering them!  They worshipped God by playing tambourines and dancing. They were very joyful! God had delivered them! Everything was great…………..Right????

 The Israelites began to become very upset. It was very hot in the desert and they were very thirsty.  When they found water they were still upset because the water was bitter!

 What do you think happened to the water when Moses cried out to the Lord and threw a stick into the water?  Do you like tests? Neither did the Israelites! God was testing them to see how they would react. The Israelites hearts were just as hard as the Egyptians!

 There the Lord made a rule and a law for the people. And there he put them to the test. He said, “I am the Lord your God. Listen carefully to my voice. Do what is right in my eyes. Pay attention to my commands. Obey all of my rules. If you do, I will not send on you any of the sicknesses I sent on the Egyptians. I am the Lord who heals you.”

 God was being so gracious to the Israelites!  God was saying that if you listen to Me and obey Me, then I will not send plagues upon you. Remember: God Always Keeps His Promises!

 Are the Israelites going to finally listen to God and obey Him?  What else do you need to live on besides water??  Is it………

 Food!  And God provided the Israelites some Food!  It might not have been fried chicken or hamburgers but he did provide them with……

It actually looks quite good!

 God provided the food for the Israelites but gave them clear directions on how much food to gather!  Then the Lord spoke to Moses. He said, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people must go out each day. Have them gather enough bread for that day. Here is how I will put them to the test. I will see if they will follow my directions.” – Exodus 16:4

 So as you can see God provided for the Israelites! In the evening God sent the Quail and in the morning he sent the manna!  God was showing that He alone will supply all of your needs, but we must obey God as well!

 Some of the people were greedy and gathered extra food. When they woke up they found out that the food had maggots in it……..

 It is important for us to listen to God!  God told the Israelites to gather twice as much food on the sixth day of the week.  Why did he want them to do that?

 Means “Day of rest or day or worship.”

 God is the ultimate provider! We must obey Him and will supply all of our needs!  So the main point is what?  Would you rather sing and worship God or grumble and complain?

 Let’s dance and sing to our God!  Let’s make sure to focus on Him!  He cares about every single one of us!  He loves all of us!
