1. COMENIUS PROJECT - “S.E.E.D.” KINDERGARTEN PETER PAN CLASS D

2. WE ARE PLANTING THE BULBS IN THE SCHOOL FLOWERBED We prepare the ground, moving the earth with a rake. Then we made it compact, stumping on it with our feet.

3. HOW SHOULD WE PLANT A BULB? Our dear friend Eros, explains and shows us how to do it.

4. NOW, IT’S OUR TURN! We dig a little hole with our hands, we put the bulb inside the hole, and then we cover it well with some earth.

5. We are planting many different kinds of bulbs, so we’ll have flowers of all colours!

6. HOW PRETTY IS OUR FLOWERBED ! Now we have just to wait … for the flowers to grow.

8. We plant some bulbs in some vases inside the school too… TO SEE WHERE THEY WILL GROW SOONER: OUTSIDE OR INSIDE…

9. We fill the base of the vase with the mud we collected in the outside «composter»

10. Then we add some soft earth

11. We put the bulbs and cover them with some more earth

12. We water them carefully

13. And after a couple of months…the first flowers show up !

15. WE SOW SOME GREEN MANURE Green manure sowing is a practice aiming at enriching the soil fertility potential. It increases the amount of organic material in the soil ; It maintains the nitric nitrogen content in the soil.
