22 Cumulative SAA Issues (FY Q1 ’12 – Q4 ‘14)

23 Significant Safety Achievements- 7/14 The Chemical Management System (CMS) self-assessment project is almost completed. All data has been collected and the draft report is being prepared. The quarterly Satellite Accumulation Area inspections of EETD lab areas was completed. We had a 99% overall compliance rate. WPC Activity Manager “projects” and “activities’ for EETD operations have been sent out for review. Initial set-up of the system has started in anticipation of the soft roll-out. Chemical inventory lists were sent out to each lab area owner for review and update. The entire EETD inventory was reviewed and obvious corrections made. An EETD Safety Alert was issued regarding proper storage and capping of needles used in the lab areas.

24 Short Term Safety Outlook- 8/14 Submit the completed Chemical Management System (CMS) self-assessment report. Continue the set-up of the Work Planning and Control (WPC) “projects” and “activities” framework for EETD. Continue to assist with start-up of the new FLEXLAB buildings. Complete the flame resistant lab coat corrective action. Address issues identified by the fire marshal in EETD buildings. A large old chemical/sample clean-out is planned in 62-220 and 62-246. Develop FLEXLAB user safety orientation training. Develop area safety lead orientation training.
