For business success it is important to have the best possible person working in each job role. Because suitable employees will be happier, work harder and produce better results in the work they do. Employers not only look for people with the best qualifications and experience, but also qualities like drive, enthusiasm, reliability, etc. Why?

What else do employers want? Identify the kind of qualities an employer would look for in an employee. e.g. Drive and enthusiasm Identify the knowledge, experience, skills and attributes for a job role Think about what they will need to know and what they should be good at doing Attribute - a quality or characteristic somebody has.

What work would suit you? 1.Go to the website www.fasttomato.com and click on “Register without a code” then register for the “Restricted Trial Account” independently (i.e. not as part of the school) 2.Write down your user name and password – these are good for 24hrs only. 3.Complete the psychometric test. 4.Now review the ‘ Career Suggestions ’ that your test results brought up and choose a favourite. i.Research what your preferred job/career involves ii.What qualifications, knowledge, skills, attributes are needed in your target job role

Research your chosen job/career at nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk Hover over the “Careers Advice” tab From the drop-down menu, click on the “Job Profiles” button Research the job/s you are most interested in and print/save any helpful information about how what qualifications, experience etc. you would need to reach your goals.
