6. What Makes Us Unique We build locally: Habitat Pinellas is a locally run non-profit housing organization based in Americus, GA. All funds are raised locally. We build globally: We strive to eliminate housing poverty all around the world. For every home built in Pinellas, one is built overseas. We build green: We build homes that are both good for the homeowner as well as the environment. We utilize the homes to be cost effective, efficient, and maintainable. 5

We build with dignity: Homeowners hundreds of hours of labor into building homes for other people in need. They attend classes to learn how to be successful and independent homeowners.
