2 Nature’s own fireworks.
If you are outdoors one evening during the winter, look up at the skies. If you're lucky you might see some flashing lights. They look like they are dancing across the dark sky. You are watching the northern lights, a natural movie that people watch many years.

3 What are Northern Lights?
Northern lights are the name of light phenomena often seen in the northern parts of the world, have other name is Aurora Borealis.

4 What causes them? Northern lights are from the sun. The sun
gives off the plasma; the Earth’s North and South have big attraction so the plasma is attracted to North and South. When the plasma enters Earth’s atmosphere the plasma makes friction with atmosphere. This time the color will come out. These plasma clouds travel through space with speeds from 300 to 1000 kilometers per second.
