2 Bell Activity Take out a piece of paper and put the title “Civics” at the top. Answer these questions on your paper: (Hint: This is NOT a car!) “What is civics? Why is civics important to me?” (If you need some hints, skim through the headings in Chapter 15)

3 Bell Activity  Your words are “treason” & “republic”  Find the word on your blue study guide and complete the following information for the word.  Find the definition using a glossary.  Use your own knowledge and experience to complete the rest of the definition.  Where should your backpack be? No gum in class. Throw it in the garbage before class begins!

12 Utah Civics We are going to watch a video to see what the average person in Utah knows about their government, elected leaders, and services provided by our government. Could you answer these questions?
