This also includes Corporate Responsibility (CR)  Background – previously worked in Engineering, Chemical and Textile manufacturing. Been at Atkins for 9 years including Rail, Europe businesses and Group

5 WS Atkins plc  Plan, Design, Enable is what we do.  From cost and risk planning, feasibility studies and logistics, to impact assessments and stakeholder engagement activity, we plan every aspect of our clients’ projects.  We design intellectual capital such as management systems and business processes. We also design physical structures such as office towers, schools, bridges and highways.  We enable complex programmes, by managing projects, people and issues, allowing our clients to focus on their core operations.

8 Raising Awareness  An internal programme was developed to raise awareness of:  Sustainability  Climate Change  Carbon Critical  Purpose is for staff to go through the “journey”. To give them more confidence to engage with staff and clients  Over 500 staff have gone through the programme worldwide  ESRA handbook + training DVD

12 Northumbria University, City Campus East  40% more energy efficient than comparable sites  Water efficient, with rainwater harvesting  Pedestrian and bicycle friendly  Local involvement ensured a positive social input

13 Quarry Hotel, Songjiang  Competition winning design exploiting the site’s geothermal heat, maximising natural lighting and green roofing
