8. John 20:1-10 At this point in the story, what does Mary think has happened to Jesus? Why all the detail in v7? When Peter and John get to the tomb they believe (v8) but the parenthetical note in verse 9 says they didn’t yet understand. What did they believe at this point?

9. Read John 20:11-18 Who did Mary think Jesus was? Why is this significant? Where else is a garden/gardener a big deal? She went to tell the disciples… did they believe her right away?

10. Read John 20:19-31 Can Jesus walk through walls? Considering that his own disciples had trouble believing, how should that affect our expectations about others’ belief?
