2  Traditional handicrafts and arts are popular. Ilobasco, a little town in the center of the country, is known for its beautiful pottery

4  El Salvador is a Christian nation; approximately 57 percent of the people belong to the Roman Catholic Church

5  In urban areas, brief, firm handshake is the customary formal greeting. People something also slightly nod the head. Member of the appositive sex usually do not shake each other’s hand.

6  Spanish (Castellano) is the official language

7  El Salvador, a Central American country slightly smaller than Massachusetts, borders the North Pacific Ocean between Guatemala and Honduras. It has a land area of 20,720 square kilometers (8,000 square miles) and a coastline of 308 kilometers (191 miles). Land boundaries in El Salvador total 545 kilometers (339 miles). It shares a 327-kilometer (203-mile) border with Guatemala in the northwest, and a 341-kilometer (212-mile) border with Honduras in the southeast.

8  El Salvador Climate can be termed as tropical. Throughout the year the country experiences a  tropical climate. El Salvador's tropical climate is influenced by its location in the tropical zone.

9 Food: The traditional dish of El Salvador is the Pupusa, which can be found everywhere, being made in homes and sold in cafes, restaurants, by street vendors and in the Pupusarias. Music: In El Salvador you can always hear attractive Spanish music wherever you are, coming from cars passing by, speakers in the local market or pouring from an open window.

10  Mostly all Salvador people wear this type of Dresses for an important Day such as a birthday party or independence day or christmas or others important event that can happen in El Salvador.

11  Many people from salvador wear this kind of dress when they dance for example when its independence day lady's wear it.
