2 What Does Percent Mean? Percent means “out of 100”. So 41% is like saying 41 parts out of 100. Imagine a 100 page magazine. If you read 41 pages, you’ve read 41% of the magazine.

3 What Does Percent Mean? Percents show a portion (41 pages) of a 100 part whole (100 pages). If we’re talking about 100 pages, the whole, we are talking about 100%.
