2  World War 2 was a the biggest and most violent armed battle in the history of mankind.  World War 2 continues to absorb the interest of military scholars and historians as well as its veteran.  American’s has grown to experience,largely not aware of the political.

3  Nursing comes in different forms in every culture.  In the 5 th century,this developed into the idea of looking after or advising another.  Theodore Fleinder set up a hospital where the nurses he employed had to be of good nature.  New Zealand was the 1 st country to control nurses nationally with adoption of the nurses register act on 12 September 1901

4 1.Florence Nightingale A famous nurse known throughout the whole world as a woman who came from a highly respected and well-off British family. Usually, someone of her status would be groomed to be a wife and mother.Nightingale’s father granted her permission in 1851 to study nursing abroad in Germany. Two years later, the Crimean War broke out between Russia and Germany. Her work here would continue after she return to Britain in 1857.

5 One of the most famous nurses in history,Clara Barton’s claim to fame would ultimately be the creation of the American Red Cross in 1881. It was 1861,the year the US’s bloody Civil War broke out as the Northern states to donate and distribute medical supplies and goals. Upon her return to US a few years later, se would take experience and use it to set up her own organization to assists that in need should another national crisis ever arises

6 Many know of the life of her legendary husband, President Abraham Lincoln. Mary Todd Lincoln never needed much un terms of careers and settled in her role of mother and housewife very nicely. Many point out of Mary Todd Lincoln’s extreme shopping sprees while in the white house which garnered her ridicule of many American’s…

7 Florence Nightingale,the daughter of the wealthy land owner William Nightingale of Embly Park. Hampshire was born in Florence Italy, on 12 May, 1820. As a child, Florence was very close to her father, who without a son, treated her as his friend and companion. At 17 she felt herself to be called by God to soe unnamed great cause.

8 During world war 2 (1939-45) nearly 60,000 American served in ANC(Army Nursed Corps). When ether stationed in Europe or in the Pacific,they risked their lives daily, working on or near the front lines: on land,sea and air transport vehicles and in field hospital.
