3 American Hotel Lodging Association "Establishing a Student Chapter at Your University“ Serving the hospitality industry for nearly a century, the American Hotel & Lodging Association(AH&LA) is the sole national association representing all sectors and stakeholders in the lodging industry, including individual hotel property members, hotel companies, student and faculty members, and industry suppliers.

4 American Hotel Lodging Association "Establishing a Student Chapter at Your University“ AH&LA student chapters can be established/maintained only at college or university offering a sequence of at least five hospitality‐related classes supplemented with additional relevant courses of study. Students creating a chapter should develop a customize mission statement, policies, and practices, building the structure for a sustainable organization. The purpose of a chapter is to keep members involved in AH&LA and the industry on state and national levels, as well as to maintain access to cutting edge insights of the hospitality industry, communicate with industry leaders, and develop support the future of hospitality.
