4 Outcomes in Clinical management of STIs & HIV/AIDS Improved quality in STI screening with lab set up Capacity of CHWs as RLAs up scaled in screening common STIs Appropriate clinical management of STIs & HIV/AIDS Capacity of VCCT nurses and CHWs up scaled to manage HIV/AIDS effectively at remote facilities without much supervision CHWs delivering HIV positive women and administering ARV prophylaxis to neonate,Pureni,2012 RLA with battery powered microscope,Pureni,2011

5 Success Increase in attendance of Antenatal mothers Improved in STI management with rural laboratory and RLA trained 1,010 People on ART 90 Babies born HIV negative from positive parents 32 Discordant couples Antenatal women screened for HIV & STIs using Gram Stain and Wet Prep Working towards the national target of Reducing 85% of mother to Child transmission
