2. Dogs are good for exercise, they need two to four walks a day.

3. Dogs can be very affectionate.

4. All puppies and most adult dogs are playful.

5. Dogs make their owners feel happy when they are sad.

6. Being kind and cuddly are two traits that dogs have.

7. Dogs are a good way for a family to learn how to be responsible.

8. Most dogs are protective of their owners and will bark at strangers.

9. Though dogs are wonderful pets, many dogs do not have a safe environment they can call home. So please consider adopting a dog.

10. Do you have a dog? Well, currently in the United States, 70-80 million dogs live with families. So many people all around the world have dogs because dogs are outstandingly wonderful pets, for many important reasons. For instance, all eight people I interviewed agreed that their dogs are wonderful additions to their family. They used positive adjectives to describe their dogs. The words that they used most often were friendly, caring, cuddly and loyal. This proves that dogs are great pets. Even though many dogs have good homes, sadly there is a huge number of dogs that don’t have a loving home. Some dogs have never felt the kindness of a warm family. Every year, thousands of dogs go to shelters. My photo on slide nine shows a dog that has not been very fortunate. There is a great number of dogs just like this, sad and lonely. Dogs are fantastic pets. So why not open your arms and take a dog into your home?
