Course Content Overview of Portal Reports ZHR_Cost_Distrib—Cost Distribution Analysis ZHR_Pay_Postings—Payroll Posting ZHR_Basic_EE_List—Basic Employee List Query ZHR_Leaves_Report—Leaves Report Z_PY_SIMU_SAR—Run Payroll Simulation with var ZSAR Z_PY_REMUN_STMT_SAR—PY Remun Stmt for PY SimAnalyst Role

Course Objectives Upon completion of this course you will: Be familiar with HR reports covered Know what selection criteria are available for each report Be familiar with useful layouts set up for each report Know what role you need to be able to run these reports

Overview of Portal Reports Many of the transactions and reports available in R3 are also available through the portal under the Human Resources tab Click on the Transactions tab if you want to run transactions Click on the Reports tab, and drill into categories by clicking on the black arrows

ZHR_Cost_Distrib—Cost Distribution Analysis This report offers various selection criteria and will provide a list of employees and their cost distribution information based on infotype 0027 (similar to PAIS) This is how you plan to pay people—before payroll has posted This is a real time report—there is no overnight delay You can run the report for current, future or past periods Choose your variant before filling out the selection criteria The variants are based on employee subgroup rather than payroll area You can export data by going to List>Export>Spreadsheet

ZHR_Cost_Distrib—Cost Distribution Analysis- cont’d Hint—you may want to run this report prior to each payroll to look at the default fund (91010000) Data may appear duplicated if there are multiple wage types on Infotype 0008 Actions that cause cost distribution to go to the default fund:  New or rehire  Add Add’l appointment  Transfers

ZHR_Pay_Postings This data is after payroll has been run and just prior to posting to the financial ledger Contains detailed payroll data including information about the employee and where charges posted Similar to Statement of Payroll Charges or Paysum.bqy 3 reports set up  Detailed Charge Report—detailed listing of employees, wage types, posting info  Summary Charge Report—summarized by EE group, GL account, fund, cost center, order  Interdepartmental FTE Summary—shows fte across departments

ZHR_Pay_Postings—Detailed Charge Report Fringe benefits will be listed with the fund and cost center where they actually post  You may want to filter out fringe benefit wage types Wage type and g/l account text is masked for medical plans Accruals can be included by clicking the check box on the selection screen Order number includes RIO’s & SIO’s You can try to export by using List>Export>Local File— some users have experienced problems with this and the issue is being looked into

ZHR_Pay_Postings—Summary Charge Report Summarized by EE group, GL account, fund, cost center, order You can export to Excel by using List>Export>Spreadsheet>Table

ZHR_Pay_Postings—Interdepartmental FTE Summary Report Interdepartmental FTE matches CUL unless it is a merged appointment. If a merged appointment, it is based on cost distribution Individuals with merged appointments and administrative supplements may have skewed interdepartmental fte if administrative supplement is not split proportionally You can export to Excel by using List>Export>Spreadsheet>Table

ZHR_Basic_EE_List Good for ad hoc generation of various employee lists  Employee Group (clerical, faculty, service, etc.)  Future appointments  Time Administrator lists  By org unit  Wage types Use OrgStructure button to help with selection criteria Can be used to see if people are locked for payroll In most cases you would only want active employees

ZHR_Leaves_Report This report contains information regarding paid, unpaid, and FMLA leaves, including sabbaticals, research leave/ travel, military leave, change in duty station, voluntary early partial retirement, etc based on infotype 0000 - Actions. (It is similar to information you could obtain from the bottom right hand section of PEDB.) It can be limited by person (pernr or PUID) or by Organizational Units. It can also be limited by Action type (LOA paid or unpaid) and Reason for Action (sabbatical, research leave, etc). You can export to Excel by using List>Export>Spreadsheet>Table

Z_PY_SIMU_SAR—Run Payroll Simulation with var ZSAR This report produces a replica of the salary statement that is available is ESS before payroll has run Shows tax info, net pay, and gross pay For biweekly shows hours at rate of pay

Z_PY_REMUN_STMT_SAR—PY Remun Stmt for PY SimAnalyst Role This report produces a a remuneration statement after payroll has been run Shows tax info, net pay, and gross pay For biweekly shows hours at rate of pay This is a Business Office view—it does not show sensitive data such as garnishments, etc. It may not reflect exactly what is in ESS.
