Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System Scope Introduction Concept Video Q & A End
Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System Introduction Hydropower – Produced 20% of all electricity globally Advantage a) The technology is proven Disadvantage a) Large and involve huge capital investments. b) Design and build c) Affect the local ecology Micro hydroelectric power system Between 1kW-1MW is more cost effective to produce renewable energy in the remote areas.
Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System Concept M/S IP Management Pte Ltd has invented a Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System This invention relates to a hydroelectric power generating dam system by channeling hydraulic flow from a water catchment area into a hollow inflow column to generate hydroelectric power. Water downstream of the turbine flows into a discharge channel before it is released to a lower ground by gravity.
Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System Concept An innovative design comprising modular hydroelectric energy production units, each being characterized by an enclosed column partially immersed in water. The upper portion of the inflow dam above the water level houses the generator, converter, transformer and control system. One or several turbines at the bottom end of the column receive water jets from nozzles to rotate the turbine(s) to produce electricity. Evacuation pipe discharges water downstream of the turbine(s) to a lower ground by gravity.
Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System Network System This system is modular, portable and scalable and can be deployed individually or connected in a network according to the designed power capacity.

Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System Est: Expected performance for a single column size : Example 5m Height x 1.5m Width a) P = Q (0.3) x H (5) x g (9.8) x e (0.7) = 10.29 kw. b) 30 kW to 100 kW for water heads of 5m or more. c) Optimal designs capacity up to 100kW per column unit and over 2MW in a network. Main applications: Works well in two or more cascading reservoirs. Install at location where water containment can be still water, rivers, basins, channels, tidal reservoirs, and so on.
Hydroelectric Inflow Dam System Comparative advantages No need for a conventional dam. Simple design Suitable for still water catchment Easy maintenance Modular and portable Suitable for mass production High power density per water surface area No technological incertitude.
