29 ASSOCIATION OF LATINO PRINCETON ALUMNI (ALPA) Conexiones- Alumni-Student Liaison Committee (ASLC) Purpose: To foster collaborations between ALPA and key constituents to promote and advance the interests of Princeton University’s Latino students. The Alumni-Student Liaison Committee (ASLC) will accomplish its Purpose by:  Being opportunistic in identifying opportunities to build relationships and collaborate;  Recruiting Latino alumni to participate in activities, events, and other endeavors, such as, mentoring and career networking.  Augmenting University recruitment efforts to increase the number of Latino students applying to Princeton; and  Advocating for the University to provide appropriate structural support for Latino students.  Providing Latino students with on-going support and guidance. Objectives: 1.Collaborate with students on at least one event per semester, potentially around Hispanic Heritage Month, Alumni Day, Intercession, Reunions, commencement, and prior to Christmas break for the Posada. 2.Develop a plan to augment mentoring and career development resources available to Latino students. 3.Draft a survey and distribute to Latino alumni to seek input on the different ways in which Latino alumni are willing to commit to assist in fulfilling the Purpose of the Committee. 4.Develop a recruitment plan to work with the Admissions Office and the Princeton Alumni Schools Committee to increase the number of Latino students applying to Princeton 5.Establish a relationship with student leadership and meet regularly to receive updates and feedback.
