Ernest Hemingway (1899 – 1961) American novelist, short-story writer and journalist He had 5 siblings He joined the Red Cross Ambulance Crops during the WWI., he also saw a war in Italia He spent his last years on Cuba Holder of Pulitzer and Nobel prizes

4 The Old Man and the Sea That novel has great success, both commercial and critical. It was published in 1952. It earned Hemingway the Pulitzer Prize in The next year he was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Literature for lifetime literary achievement. It was his last writing.

5 The Old Man and the Sea The novel is about an old fisherman sailing day to day in waters around Cuba. One day he catch a big fish, much more bigger than his boat. He fighting to kill it for 3 days and nights non-stop, he is attacked by sharks and also he is fighting with his own body which would like to collapse. After this heartless fight he is found on the beach with a huge skeleton of a biggest fish inhabitants ever seen. That is what brings him a glory and a praise. Praise - uznání
