2. What is a rainforest? A rainforest is a big place with huge trees, waterfalls and a lot of green plants also it rains a lot.

3. Where are rainforests? You can find rainforests in Africa, Asia, Australia and Central and South America.

4. Rainforest animals There are lots and lots of different animals in the rainforest. There are butterflies, bats and monkeys, but that’s just 3, there are 100s of them! There are more than 2,000 different species of butterflies you could find in the rainforest.

6. Plants in the rainforest Two thirds of the plant species in the world can be found in the rainforest! 80% of the plants in the Australian rainforest you couldn’t find anywhere else in the world!

8. The climate The plants in the rainforest have to cope with very humid and wet climates.
