My Definition A 3D shape has a volume a height a width a length and stands out.

Heinemann Maths Dictionary’s Definition Dimensions are measurements of size and shape. Three-Dimensional shapes have dimensions in three directions-they have length, width, height (or depth). They are also called 3D-shapes, and examples include cuboids, prisms and spheres. Three dimensional shapes can either be solid or hollow.

Common shapes are: Spheres, Cylinders, Pyramids, Cubes and Cones

Attributes of shapes Face: A face is one of the flat or curved surfaces of a three dimensional shape. Information found in the Heinemann maths dictionary!

Attributes of shapes Edge: An edge is where two faces of a three dimensional shape meet. Information found in the Heinemann maths dictionary!

Attributes of shapes Vertex: A vertex is a corner of a shape. The plural of vertex is vertices. Information found in the Heinemann maths dictionary!

Attributes of shapes Parallel: Parallel lines stay the same distance apart along their whole length. They can be straight or curved and they do not need to be the same length as each other. Information found in the Heinemann maths dictionary!

Attributes of shapes Angles: An angle is an amount of turn (rotation) measured in degrees. Information found in the Heinemann maths dictionary!
