1 MULTI-FREQUENCY MICROWAVE GENERATOR CONTROLLED BY COMPUTER AND HAVING COMPLEX CHARACTERISTICS OF TIME AND AMPLITUDE FOR EXAMINATION OF CHAOS IN ELECTRONIC DEVICES FOR THE FREQUENCY FROM 20 MHZ TO 6000 MHZ “SOKOL – 1”

2 DEFINING THE PROBLEM OF RADIO CONTROLLED IED WEAPONS
“SOKOL-1” Jammer The problem in dealing with RCIED weapons is that you do not know what type of RCIED that needs to be defeated (as in the case of cellular based triggers, wireless data based triggers, or RF spectrum detonators anywhere from low Megahertz to high Gigahertz frequency bands). You do not know the distance between the Trigger-Man and the RCIED’s radio receiver. You also do not know the power of the Trigger-Man’s transmitter. Understanding these basic ideas is vital, as once the defender acknowledges these issues (these unknown variables), one can prepare accordingly.

3 EXAMPLES OF IED THREATS
“SOKOL-1” Jammer In order to understand how to improvised explosive devices are put together, please have a look on the components of the Car Alarm. Now, you can understand what will happen, when you will remove siren and replace it an explosive payload and blasting caps. The commercial appliance has now been transformed into a deadly weapon. 5 TECHNICAL DETAILS – “SOKOL – 1” JAMMER
“SOKOL-1” – Multi-Frequency Microwave Generator controlled by computer and having complex characteristics of time and amplitude for examination of chaos in electronic devices for the frequency from 20 MHz to 6000 MHz “SOKOL-1” is intended for the radio countermeasure of various radio means, radio communication channels of stationary, mobile and man-pack radio set, mobile phones reception paths of cellular communications systems, and also for protection of mobile vehicles (moving truck trains and single vehicles) and stationary objects by prevention of radio-controlled firing explosives (mines, high-explosive charges, etc.). The given problem is decided by the radiation of jamming radio signal in all frequency range, where use of the specified control radio links is possible. The system is developed on the basis and in view of operating experience of the product similar to destination which is used by the USA peace-making contingent in the Middle East. The use of this product has allowed neutralizing some attempts of radio-controlled firing at the movement of the truck trains (explosions have taken place after passing by the truck trains of the radio-controlled charge position outside of the radio countermeasure zone). APPLICATIONS PLACE OF INSTALLATION VVIP Protection; Force Protection; Vehicle Convoy Protection; EOD Operations; Event, Base or Venue Protection; Communications Jamming. SUVs; APCs; VVIP Cars;

6 “SOKOL-1” Jammer PROTECTION DISTANCE
Many Jammers manufacturers give a “Protection Distance”. There are many unknown, uncontrolled variable such as enemy transmitter power, distance between transmitter and receiver, and distance between jammer and RCIED (radio or frequency controlled IEDs). The only way to effectively defend against this threat is with a barrage type jammer with brute force to jam the receiver from receiving the enemy signal to detonate as well as to jam the transmitter. TESTED AND PROVED EFFECTIVE RANGE OF PROTECTION OF “SOKOL-1“ JAMMER IS 1000 METERS

7 PROTECTION DISTANCE “SOKOL-2” Jammer The following are typical results achieved when testing known threats against a “SOKOL-1” JAMMER: All unmodified threats on frequencies from MHz (No breaks) are EFFECTIVELY JAMMED when tested at 1000 Meters on average with jammer at center point between RCIED Receiver and the Enemy Transmitter.

8 “SOKOL-1” Jammer BRIEF TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND SET OF SUPPLY
SOKOL-1 Jammer consists of the following components: MICROWAFE UNIT Microwave Unit: Sixteen generating channels; Three of broadband microwave amplifier; Four multi-managed switch; Unit of measurement and display of output parameters; A computer control unit. Power supply unit; Power cable; Control cable. POWER SUPPLY UNIT INCLUDING CONTROL CABLE AND POWER CABLE EACH OF 16 FREQUENCY CHANNELS OF THE JAMMER: Has a generator of harmonic signals, tunable in the frequency band corresponding to the channel number; Has a noise generator, overlapping the frequency band of the concerned channel.

Multi-Frequency Generator could operate in continuously or in pulsed mode. In this case the noise signal completely overlaps the tuning range of the harmonic signal. It is also possible operate in the mode of generation of signals scope (scope of harmonic and noise signals) of two channels. To adjust the power output of each generator the system has special adjustable attenuators. Switching of the signals at the output of each generator channel and, accordingly, to the output of a multi-frequency generator is controlled by special switches. Management of Multi-Frequency Generator is performed using standard commercial software through the standard ports of PC.
