2. PURPOSE OF THE DENTAL PROGRAM in Isle of Wight County Schools To assure that students with Medicare/FAMIS have the opportunity to have a preventive dental visit and that those without dental insurance have the opportunity to apply for the state insurance for children FAMIS.

5. 1881 forms sent to all families Grades 2 - 6 *** 415 forms returned *** 101 with Medicaid/FAMIS/free lunch – requested service *** 80 had previous dental care *** 40 referred to SMART BEGINNINGS – did not qualify *** 5 students referred for additional dental care
