3 The reason of choosing this topic We chose this hot and debatable topic because we are having the same problem and every student has this problem too. Besides, we thought this topic relates to our daily life.

4 Documentary review A. What are the factors causing teen study pressure? They have pressure because many schools require students get high marks in each subject. A large degree of pressure on students from families. The teen study pressure usually comes from too much homework. The pressure also comes from examination, concerning about future and the high expectation from the parents.

5 B. How does the study pressure affect teenagers’ health and social life? Health: Its main symptoms are depressed, angry for no reason, difficulty concentrating, memory loss, and some have headaches, stomach pain and other sickness. Social life: Students have low self-esteems, do not want to hang out with friends and difficult to cope with other people.

6 C. What can parents, teachers, teenagers themselves do to improve the situation of teen study pressure? Parents: Parents should pay more attention on their children Consult in a timely manner. Teachers: provide more support and counseling services. Teenagers themselves: Should understand that result is just for encouraging. Learning is the most important.

7 D. What policies did the government carry out to help improve the situation of teen study pressure? Allocate resources to provide quality and diversified education for our people and nurture talent for the community and they propose to set up a fund with a total commitment of $2.5 billion for the development of self-financing post-secondary education.

11 A. What are the factors causing teen study pressure? According to our survey, 11 of the respondents thought teens have study pressure because parents’ high expectations while 8 of them regarded teens have it because of academic pressure. 8 of them thought study pressure come from impact on their ideological. 2 of them claimed parents’ improperly education being the reason.

12 B. How does the study pressure affect teenagers’ health and social life? According to our survey, 3 of the respondents thought that the impact of they will learn slowly is not important, 6 of the respondents thought this impact is neutral and 5 of the respondents thought that this impact is most important. 1 of the respondents thought that the impact of depriving them of their leisure time is not important while 7 of them thought this impact is neutral and 4 of them thought it is most important. 2 of the respondents thought that the impact of serious distort motivation and personality development is not important while 9 of them thought this impact is neutral and 1 of them thought it is most important. 4 of the respondents thought that the impact of do not want to learn is not important while 7 of them are neutral and 2 of them thought it is most important. 2 of the respondents thought that the impact of feeling of despair is not important while 7 of them are neutral and 2 of them thought it is most important

13 c. What can teenagers themselves do to improve the situation of teen study pressure? According to our survey, 6 of the respondents thought set time table can improve the situation of having study pressure while 3 of the respondents claimed relax can improve the situation. 1 of them thought study with goal can improve the situation. 1 of them thought self motivation can also improve the situation.

14 Suggestions & Implication We think that students should set a time table, set goals for themselves, give themselves more leisure time and communicate with teachers and parents. After analyzing all data, we find that we should not set too high goals and give too much pressure to ourselves.

15 Difficulties & Group reflection When we were setting research questions and questionnaire, we had to beware of overlapping the questions. Also, we had to pay attention to our grammar. We learnt to be more patient when finding information and group discussion, we had to check keywords of research questions to see whether ideas overlapped.
