7 7 Changing Channels The MicroSync™ Digital has 4 Channels. The transmitter and receiver are set to channel 1 at the factory *. To change the channel, follow these steps:  Plug the receiver into the sync socket of the power pack or monolight, with the strobe turned on.  Stand within three feet of the receiver.  W ithin 10 seconds of plugging the receiver in, firmly insert the end of a paper clip into the channel select opening to set the transmitter to the next channel.  The transmitter’s and receiver’s LEDs will flash once for each channel to confirm your channel selection (1 flash = channel 1; 2 flashes = channel 2). * The receiver automatically resets to channel 1 when the batteries are removed and re-installed. 9240 Jordan Avenue, Chatsworth, CA 91311 800-662-0717 Channel Select Opening MicroSync™ is a product. www.microsyncdigital.com

8 8 Remotely Trigger Cameras With the addition of an accessory cable (not included), the MicroSync™ transmitter and receiver can be used to remotely trigger most SLR cameras. Here’s how:  Locate the electronic shutter release input on the camera.  Plug the corresponding end of the cable into the camera’s electronic shutter release input.  Plug the cable’s sub-mini phone plug into the MicroSync™ receiver output.  Holding the transmitter, press the test fire button to fire the camera. If your flash is equipped with a PC terminal, you may use a MicroSync™ PC Cord (VMC112), specifically a PC male to sub-mini phone (2.5mm) cord. The PC male end of the cord plugs into the PC terminal of the flash. The sub-mini phone end plugs into the output of the MicroSync™ receiver. The second method requires a female hot shoe to sub-mini phone cord. The female hot shoe end is where the flash is placed. 26 26 Frequently Asked Questions  How do I convert a Pocket Wizard cord (3.5mm mono plug) to a MicroSync™ cord (2.5mm mono plug)?  To accomplish this, you will need a MicroSync™ Sync Cord Reducer (VMC114) that converts a 3.5mm mono plug to a 2.5mm mono plug.
