An apartment in Washington D.C. or a cabin in the rural areas of Georgia? Each living unit is someone’s home. Whether large or small, each structure hopefully fills its residents’ basic needs. What basic needs do all people have in common?

12 Activity Choose a family type: Married couple with 4 kids, 2 teenagers still at home, dad works full time in Boise, mom works part-time in Meridian Senior couple, retired, husband has limited mobility, wife loves to garden, both love to spend time with their grandchildren Newlywed couple, both work part-time jobs while going to school. Married couple with 3 kids, husband works full time, wife is a stay at home mom, family only has one car, oldest child is in school. 1. Individually or as a partnership make a list of the housing needs for your family type. 2. Write a summary as to the type of housing you would choose for your family type and why you think that type of housing would fit the needs of the family you chose.
