3 SRO HISTORY 1950’s – Flint, Michigan Goal: to improve police and youth relations 1967 - Cincinnati Goal: to increase classroom contacts 1969/70 – Florida and North Carolina Goal: to bridge the gap between police and youth Goal: to increase positive attitudes toward law enforcement Goal:to reduce juvenile crime
