2 INTRODUCTION  Romans and Greeks and many interactions  Many similarities between Greek and Roman Mythology  They usually perform the same task.  Have an equivalent in both cultures  Were worshiped for similar reasons

3 ZEUS/JUPITAR  Most famous Greek god  Was the god of all gods  Power to create thunderstorms and lightning  Ruled the sky  Controlled all of the weather

4 ARES/MARS Ares: Child of Zeus and Hera God of War Very angry and active Mars: Roman god of agriculture and war Calm and collected Tried to prevent war

5 APHRODITE/VENUS  Very similar  Goddess’s of love  Were very unfaithful to their husbands  Had many affairs with many others  Born from the sea foam  Married to the smith god

6 CONCLUSION  Greek and Roman gods have many similarities  Usually similar characteristics  Had an equivalent for each god or goddess  Small differences between myths  Have the same purpose and meaning  Can easily be interchangeable in stories
