2 What is a compound sentence in your English class? This weekend I will go shopping and I will go to a movie. This weekend I will go shopping or I will go to a movie.

3 A compound inequality consists of two inequalities connected by the word “AND” or the word “OR”. Today we will work with the type connected by the word “AND”. Compound inequalities involving “AND” consist of two inequalities. Both inequalities must be satisfied to make the compound inequality true. and If you want to go to the movies with your friends you must finish your homework and clean your room.

4 Writing Compound Inequalities with “AND”. Write a compound inequality that represents the set of all real numbers greater than or equal to 0 and less than 4. Then graph the inequality. and Compound inequalities with “AND” are generally combined in a single inequality with the variable in the middle. 0 4 O Both inequalities must be satisfied to make the compound inequality true. Therefore the solution is the intersection (overlap) of the two rays. The graph is a line segment! The number of solutions are limited.
