Killer Whale By Trinity Scott

The animal I am researching is a Killer Whale.

Killer Whales have a blowhole, lungs, flippers, dorsal fins and flukes.

Killer Whales are found in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Ocean.

Orcas eat fish, squid, seals, walruses, sea lions, penguins, sea turtles, sharks and other whales.

The Killer whale’s habitat is in the ocean.

Orcas adapt by splashing their tails together. This knocks their prey off the rock or whatever it is on, so that the whale can eat them.

Five Additional Facts about Orcas 1.Orcas have many techniques to adapt their prey. One of them is they bump seals off ice. 2. Groups of Orcas cooperate to herd fish into a compact area so that they’re easier to eat. 3. Orcas don’t chew their food they swallow it whole. 4. With orca’s camouflage so well, those prey fish, penguins and seals are likely to miss the danger coming their way. 5. Female orcas weigh 3,000 to 8,000 pounds ( 1,000 to 3,600 kilometers.)

Resources Used The resources I used was Nationalgeographickids.org.

This report was made by: My name is Trinity. I am 8 years old. My hobbies are playing sports. I chose this animal because I like most water animals. When I grow up I want to be a Oceanographer.
