2  AS a carbon free energy consuming process solar system is being popular day by day. So energy produced by using solar system is beneficial both for our environment and economy. Our goal is to build a device which will charge a battery by using solar power. The solar battery charger design to prevent discharge at night and during cloudy days and it could be using for charging your laptop, home electronics or charging some of your home appliance like your mobile phones, charger lights etc.  A solar battery charger contains some potential benefits. Though a solar panel is generate pure DC electricity when exposed to sunlight. This is exactly what your battery wants. So it maximize battery life. Solar panels consumes no fuel and give off no wastes,so it is a clean quiet and easy to use. It will be a portable device,so it can be carry wherever needed such as mountains, desert ocean beaches anywhere the sun shines. Since solar panels consumes no fuel, so it’s maintenance cost is lower, and it is a safe and reliable process.  So, get yourself a solar battery charger and experience how nature can work for you. 2

4 4 Fig : DC to AC converter circuit.

5 5 First of all here we are going to use a solar panel as our DC power supply. Our supply voltage will be 18 Volts. A diode D2 will be on after getting a positive voltage at it’s positive end and the diode will be turn on. Though, our voltage is not a continuous signal, so a capacitor C3 will use for store charge and supply a continuous signal. A voltage regulator 7812 is use to supply a constant voltage 12V. Now, the battery will be charged up. Now, our output current will be DC current. To convert this DC current to AC we will use a inverter circuit. For this circuit a IC4047 will be used. AS per as the characteristics of IC4047 the output will divide into two section, inverting and non- inverting, A transformer T1 will be used at the end to get the output. Here, all these are designed by using the software, Proteus Professional 7.5 SP3. In practical work some apparatus may be changed or removed for the welfare of the project.

6 We have already done our Research on Solar, Battery &circuit, Model construction & Relevant Simulation & Analysis part. And there remains some works like : model construction of charger and converter circuit, the full project’s hardware establishment and our project’s thesis part. We hope so as soon as possible we can complete these parts successfully. 6
