1 What is Conflict? A problem or issue in a story

2 Character vs. Self Type of INTERNAL CONFLICT when a character has a personal issue or problem within themself. This could be trying to achieve a goal, making a choice, or overcoming emotions/feelings.

3 Character vs. Nature Type of EXTERNAL CONFLICT when the character has an issue or problem with a force of nature, such as a natural disaster, and is usually struggling to survive.

4 Character vs. Society Type of EXTERNAL CONFLICT when the character has a problem with something that is happening in the world, such as rules, laws, politics, or a group of people.

5 Character vs. Character Type of EXTERNAL CONFLICT when the character has an issue, disagreement, or problem with another character. Usually there is a struggle between the “good” and “bad”.
