2. I NTRODUCTION In many countries around the world children under the age of five die for many different reasons. Some reasons are: lack of food having measles malaria

3. D ATA This is data showing the precise percentage of the amount of children under five mortality rate. It also shows the year in which the information was collected. LocationUnder-5- mortality- rate(per 1000 births) Both genders. Year India76%2006 Maldives30%2006 Thailand8%2006

4. This is a graph showing the percentage of children under the age of five dying. As you can see There are many more children dying in India. G RAPH

5. E XPLANATION Over eight children under the age of five die every hour. India has more then double the amount of children dying in the Maldives. That means if 5 children die in the Maldives then more then 15 children die in India. Also if someone in Thailand had 10 kids then statistics show that 1 of them would probably die, but if in India someone had 10 kids then 7 or 8 of them would die.

6. C ONCLUSION If we don’t help these children its like we’re implying that they aren’t important and we don’t want to spend our money for a cause as important as this. We only have to spend some money to buy emergency supplies around the country and we can save hundreds of lives. Imagine you live in India and your son or daughter died how would you feel? This is how people there feel.

Another reason it links to is Health because some of the reasons for infant mortality under the age of five is because of certain diseases which I have mentioned in the introduction.
