Notes comb technique particularly effective during early stages of locking while the coil is still open Palm roll this method is the gentlest on the hair and guides it through all stages of locking. Braids or extensions another effect way of locking involves sectioning the hair for the desired size of lock and single braiding the hair to the ends then synthetic or human hair can be added to the single braid after several weeks the braid grows away from the scalp the palming method is used Shaping dreadlocks take patience and commitment on the part of the client.
